Veltins Arena
About This Spot
Stepping into Veltins Arena is like stumbling upon a quietly vibrant corner where different worlds mingle — a spot where the spirited energy of a sports bar meets the inviting warmth of a neighborhood pub. Nestled on Av. de Pablo Gargallo in Zaragoza, this bar offers a pace that feels easy but animated, the kind of place where conversations flow naturally amid the hum of casual camaraderie.
The atmosphere balances familiarity with a touch of unexpected flair. It’s a space alive with soft cheers from the screens, yet intimate enough for families spending a Sunday brunch or friends sharing a long afternoon catch-up. Outdoor seating extends the feeling of openness, surrounded by the gentle bustle of the nearby park and the distant silhouette of a historic castle, adding a subtle sense of place that’s both calming and quietly inspiring.
What makes Veltins Arena especially inviting is how thoughtfully it blends its influences, evoking the cozy charm of a British pub and the vibrant pulse of an American sports bar, all while crafting a local personality that feels entirely its own. The menu fits seamlessly into this mosaic — whether it’s a perfectly poured Belgian beer enjoyed alongside crispy patatas bravas or a hearty burger meant to be savored slowly through easy conversation.
You’ll find that familiar comforts sit side-by-side with little indulgences: creamy crepes with Oreo and white chocolate, warming coffee served just right, and intriguing snacks that invite you to linger just a moment longer. It’s the kind of place where the staff’s warmth adds to the atmosphere, a simple kindness that turns a visit into a moment of genuine connection.
Veltins Arena invites discovery not just through its food and drink but through the shared human moments unfolding under its roof — an experience where the energy of sport and the pleasure of good company meet the slower rhythms of warmth and welcome.

Nice place to have a beer and eat a burger. Overall the experience is good. The place has an sporty atmosphere and also resembles to an old pub.

Crazy place, name of the German soccer stadium of Schalke 04, close to an American sports bar, family friendly, good burgers, friendly staff, good place to stay Sunday for Lunch, enjoy food and sports...

Like a British pub crossed with an American sports bar but with smaller screens, better food, better music and WAY BETTER BEER.

A very relaxed place with great table service, especially the lovely Camila. A wide range of beers added to outdoor seating, sunshine and chatter. It seems to be a place for families on a Sunday morning to brunch or whatever. There's a small park cloes by and a castle. A little calmer than the centre of Zaragoza and to be enjoyed
